Council Tax

Local Authorities are under increasing pressure to maintain high levels of collection for council tax, despite the amount collectable increasing due to the impact of the Council Tax Reduction Scheme. Newlyn’s vast experience in debt recovery and enforcement means we are well placed to work with our clients to help them achieve their collection targets year on year.

Our ability to distinguish the “won’t pays” from the “can’t pays”; ensures those in genuine need of support receive as much assistance as possible to guide them through what can be a very daunting experience.

The flexibility of our system and work flows means we can create schemes best suited to the needs of both our clients and their customers, building in additional activities such as telephone, email and SMS message campaigns providing a high level engagement at compliance stage to encourage a swift, positive outcome.

Newlyn is a corporate member of The Civil Enforcement Association (CIVEA) and operate in accordance with their code of conduct and Good Practice Guide along with the Taking Control of Goods: National Standards for Enforcement Agents issued by the Ministry of Justice.
